In 2014 Ivey Welch and Julie Martin opened the first Gallery 450 at 450 Dauphin Street. We were at that location for 3 years before we moved to St. Michael Street for another couple of years. Between the rising costs of space downtown and crazy stuff happening the the world we were closed for several years, always wanting to find a way to reopen. Then in 2023 Ivey found us a fabulous house in The Dauphin Way Historic District to renovate.

Gallery 450 is an eclectic community of artists, innovative thinkers, and business people; an art gallery, a co-working space, an airbnb, an event hall and currently the home of several real estate offices.

Inside GALLERY 450 

Inside Gallery 450 you will not only find unique art gallery – Gallery 450, but a beautiful home renovated to maintain as many original qualities as possible. We loved renovating what we had and finding ways to repurpose and reuse some wonderful pieces.

We offer personalized art with interior design, including Consultation Services and Art Creation Services for homes and offices of individuals, for corporate clients looking to brand their offices, for hotels and restaurants wanting cohesive art themes, for real estate stagers needing flexible appealing pieces and for healthcare facilities seeking calming, therapeutic art.

We enjoyed being one of the most popular places to be the 2nd Friday of every month during LODA’S ArtWalk. We added music to the art; sometimes we added drama or dance. It’s was always a great experience to be at Gallery 450 during ArtWalk! We want to bring that to The Dauphin Way Historic District a few times a year.

Gallery 450 will also be available for as an intimate music venue, an event space for small events, such as birthday parties and showers, and a neighborhood space for things like bookclubs and other meetups. We have limited co-working space. We even have an airbnb apartment that already stays occupied most of the time.

And then there’s the real estate. Port City Group brokered by EXP Realty LLC, EXP Realty Port City Downtown and Timeless Property Group brokered by EXP Realty LLC maintain a branch office at 1114 Dauphin Street.

Our co-working space is perfect for start-up businesses, creative freelancers and anyone who needs to have space available to use and/or a presence in the Midtown Mobile area. We always like to talk to new people with new ideas.

EVENT VENUE

Gallery 450’s contemporary independently owned art venue offers a high standard of quality in an atmosphere of warmth, luxury, and elegance. It is a beautiful gallery featuring artists across the Southeast; Gallery 450 is also a venue available to rent for your special occasions. The inside space of the gallery is three rooms and can comfortably accommodate a group of your closest friends and family. It is perfect for showers,  luncheons, receptions, corporate happy hours, and much more! The outside courtyard, weather permitting can really expand your event. Up to 20 can be seated inside in the main room comfortably. If you have tents (or good weather) up to 50 could be seated in the courtyard. We do not have tents. If you are hosting an event where people are mainly standing, and you have tents (or good weather) and people will be inside and outside the space could accommodate up to 80.
